A Halloween Card

Hi Everyone and Happy Halloween, it's Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room sharing another project this month. I offered to take another day to fill an empty space. This is my cute Halloween card I made. The card is a standard size 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". The base is white and I used orange card stock as a layer. I laid down some washy tape that I had bought a while ago from Stampin' Up that I hadn't used yet. The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up, the set is called Mingle All the Way. The cute hat, legs with shoes and broom are from Emma's at My Creative Time's stamp and die set called Wicked Fun Dies. I colored the broom handle with black and added a little shimmer from a silver glitter marker. I added glossy accents to the shoes, and a little twine bow to the hat. The sequins in the corner were from Michael's. On the sentiment, I colored  a couple of the words orange and green to match the card.

It's hard to see the details of the card but it came out very cute. Thanks for visiting my blog and have a very Happy safe Halloween and a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Sheila for allowing me to be a part of your team :)

Mummy Treat Box

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I've been doing housework and ironing but in between I did find some time to craft. I really should be scrapbooking but I just had to make this cute mummy treat box that I saw on Angie's stream. www.mychicnscratch.com. Isn't it just so cute? There is a frankenstein box also. I had made that one as a different kind of box from last year and my son loved it. He has it on his shelf.

For the mummy, you start out with a piece of card stock cut at 8 1/2" x 4 1/2", you score it on the landscape side at 1" and 2 1/2" then on the portrait side, you score it at 1" and 2 1/2", On the left and right side you cut up to the second score line and cut them off, the rest of the score lines you just cut up to. So sorry, you can check out Angie's site for complete instructions, I don't want to take from her blog to post on mine without her permission (of course).

Angie did her eyes different, which I love but I had big googly eyes, so figured I would use them. I ran the left over card stock through my crimper, then ran it through my shredder. I really have to get a personal shredder, they are so much more convenient.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a great week.

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you soon :)

Wood Witch Word

Hello Everyone, Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for this month. I also picked up another date to help out, which is October 30th, Halloween ;) Thank you Sheila for this wonderful opportunity.

OK, what do you think of this? Cute or what? I ordered these from a company called Thoughts of Vinyl, they sell tons of wooden words, this was a set. I found the company through browsing The House Of Smiths blog, I believe it was through the GroupDealz site. They too sell tons of stuff. The company cuts them out and you decorate them. How fun is that. I must say, it was fun, but was a little bit of work and took a few days because I painted the letters instead of using paper on them and I painted the whole letter, front, back, sides, you could just paint the front and leave the rest the wood, but I chose to paint the whole thing. The backs aren't decorated though, just painted.

This is how they come. The wood is nice and thick and smooth. Don't you love that the hat is the i and the cat is the h? Well, I painted the W with lime green and added orange polka dots. I used a dauber for them, then went over them carefully with a brush.

The I (hat) was painted purple, lime green and black, I added white polka dots using the bottom of a lollipop stick, then added a Jolee's spider sticker.

For the T, I painted it white and just added a fuzzy ribbon around it.

The C is painted a rusty orange, I took the spider web die from My Creative Time, (Emma) cut it out and used it as a stencil. I then used rhinestones from Stampin' Up, colored them orange with a Blendabilities marker. I traced the spider webs with silver stickles to make them pop.

The cat was painted black and I cut out a witch's hat from My Creative Time, (Emma) twice, glued it together and used a glue dot to adhere it to the cat's head.

That's my project for you today. I hope you like it as much as I do. I think it came out so cute. Thanks again Sheila :)
