Stickled Apron

Hi Everyone,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here posting for the month of May for She's A Sassy Lady. Thank you for having me again :) I hope you are doing well. Let me apologize for this post. I've had a crazy busy week. Thursday was my son's birthday (20) and it was so hard to celebrate because we got news in the morning that our Uncle had passed away in his sleep. It is a very emotional time for us because my husband was so close to him. It's so sad that we have no control over our loved ones being taken from us. We are not to understand why on this earth. We just have to go on living and remember them even though it's so hard to live life without them.

Well, my friend loves to bake cupcakes and for her birthday I found this darling apron on From My Kitchen. I used my Gypsy, picked the blackout feature, copied it and welded it to make a card. I then used the layer feature for the front of the card. I also found the cute cupcakes, muffin pan and oven mitt on the same cartridge. I adhered everything on to the card, then used stickles. When I took this picture, the stickles were still wet. The initials L.M.S. are her initials but they are also her cupcake name. Love My Sweets. I think the card came out so cute and she really liked it.

Thank you all for stopping by and I will try to post more regularly. Have a wonderful weekend.

From a Daughter to her Mother

Hi Everyone,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for May. Thanks Pam for having me.
I use to paint when I was a kid, you know the paint by numbers kit and I use to put water in a bowl and use a paint brush and my paints to color in my coloring books sometimes instead of my crayons. I have been wanting to get the water pens from Stampin' Up for a while and finally got them. I love them. It is so much fun to use my inks to paint for a change instead of markers all the time.

I also got this adorable stamp set from Stampin' Up called Greeting Card Kids. It's such an adorable stamp set. My mother is always saying how she wishes we were kids again because that was the best part of her life. So I decided to use this little girl holding the heart to let my mother know how much I Love her. "Sniff, Sniff". :)

As you can see, I stamped her several times, just in case I messed up but I was glad I got it the first time. I didn't know how this paper would react, since it's just white card stock and not the water color paper. I will have to get some of that to see the difference. It didn't run or go through, so that was good.

I used Pink Pirouette for her dress and Pink Passion for the trim and bow. I used Chocolate Chip for her hair and Crumb Cake for her skin. I used Riding Hood Red for the heart. I also stamped the sentiments with Riding Hood Red. The sentiments are called My Little Valentine from Stampin' Up.

Here is a close up up of the darling image. I cut her out and added dimensionals to pop her up. I added a little rhinestone to her bow and dazzling details to the hearts and the XOXO. Lastly, I added stitching around the bigger heart with a white gel pen.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. See you again soon.

Designer Challenge Thursday - Critter Card Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Happy Saturday. I am so glad the weekend is here. After working a long busy week, I always look forward to the weekends.

I'm joining the challenge over at My Creative Time For Me (Emma). Glora is the Designer this week and came up with a really cute challenge. Make a set of 4 3" x 3" cards. That's it, easy enough right. I love making this size card because they make cute gift sets. If you are up to an extra challenge, make the cards with a critter theme. I used the small dots embossing folder and embossed each card. I decided to use Emma's cute stamp set called All Around Accessories. That dinosaur is so darn cute. (Are dinosaurs a critter?) LOL I used markers to color them. I added some glossy accents to the eyes, then I cut them out and popped them on dimensionals. The sentiment is from Robyn at My Pink Stamper called Punny-licious. It goes perfect. I used the die from Emma's set Build a Banner Kit to stamp the sentiment and also popped them on dimensionals.  I used a cocoa colored ink to ink around the cards.

Go check out Emma's blog to see the awesome cards everyone made. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon. :)
