A Curled Paper Wreath

Hello My Friends,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for November. Thank you Sheila for allowing me to do so. Hope you are all doing well.

I saw a fabulous wreath made by Angie from Chic 'n Scratch, her wreath was made with Halloween papers. I thought how cute would that be to make one for my mother to hang on her door for Christmas. After I started making mine, I saw another one done by Kimberly, her wreath was also fabulous.

I purchased a white foam wreath from Joann's, along with push pins. The strips were cut at 1/2" x 12". I took my bone folder and ran it across each side to curl them. Some papers worked better than others. Then I used a push pin to adhere them all, one at a time. It took a little time but I did it over the course of a few days, here and there. I handmade the rosette because the die I have is smaller than what I wanted. I stamped that cute snowman on a piece of white card stock and colored him in with markers and added some stickles. He is from a stamp set called All Around Accessories by Emma. I traced around the stamp because it is circular and cut it out as best I could. I used pop dots to adhere it to the rosette.

I then tied a red ribbon for hanging the wreath, punched a hole in the rosette and used some twine to tie it to the ribbon so that it could hang down.

I think it came out fabulous :) I love it. I will have to make one for myself but maybe a smaller one.
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend.

Designer's Challenge - Thanksgiving Theme

Hi Everyone,

I am submitting this cute tag I made for the Designer's Challenge over at Emma's hosted by Glora.
You can make anything you want as long as it's a Thanksgiving theme. Now that I'm reading it again, my tag is more like a Fall theme. OOPS :) I cut out a tag using one of Emma's dies. I cut it out again and then cut it so I had different alternating colors and adhered those onto the die. I then cut a piece of wire ribbon that I purchased from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. I used my Tim Holtz stapler to adhere that down. I cut out the circle using the circle die and then stamped the sentiment from Piles of Smiles. I colored the leaf with different colored sparkly markers. The cute pumpkin and leaves are also from that set. The pumpkin was stamped and cut out, then I colored the stem and leaf with markers and used a pop dot to give it a little dimension. I also used the same stamp to make a little border across the bottom, I stamped it in chocolate brown ink and stamped off twice, then stamped the image. The leaves are the dies also from the stamp set, I cut out one big one and one small one and popped them up with pop dots, the small one on top of the big one. I stamped the sentiment, then added a little ribbon and some twine.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

A Rosette Tree

Hello, Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project here and over at Pam's. Thank you Pam for having me :)

I bought this darling rosette die from Emma at My Creative Time and thought I would try my hand at a little tree for my mom as a decoration. I really wish I could have made bigger ones for the bottom and smaller ones for the top so that it would look more like a tree but the die only makes this size and a small size. I looked to see if any of my cartridges had rosettes on them but none of them did, then I tried to make them on my own but I was making them way too big. Well, I think it still came out cute. It was a little bit of work putting them together, then gluing them together, then gluing them on top of each other, but the result is so pretty.

I glued a skewer stick to the base, then glued the scallop die and the stitched circle die to it, I stamped the little tree and colored it in, then added some green ribbon and some red tulle.

Well, that is my project for you. Thank you for stopping by and I will see you soon.
