A Card For A Friend

Hi Everyone,

I have a few Get Well cards that I am making for friends. I love making things for friends but I don't like that my friends are sick :( I hope the cards that I am sending will put a smile on their faces and that they get well soon.

This card was made with a cute image of Tilda and I must say that I am so proud of myself because I did masking to make it so she is sitting on the fence. Isn't she so cute?
I colored her in with some Copics and some Stampin Up markers. The little bird is also a stamp, I colored him in with Stampin Up markers. I got this S shaped card idea from Mary. The ovals are cut out from the Elegant Edges cartridge.

I hope my friend will love this card as much as I loved making it for her.

See you all soon. Stay healthy :)

Cardz TV Challenge

Hi Again,

WOW 2 posts in one night, hmmmmm. ;) I am submitting this tag for Mary's challenge at Cardz TV. It is an Anything Goes challenge. I decided to make a simple tag using Emma's tag dies. I used my cuttlebug to cut two out, one in white cardstock and one in a patterned paper which is a 6 x 6 designer paper pad called Vanity Fair from My Minds Eye. I adhered them together to make the tag sturdier. I inked around the tag with Amber ink. I stamped a butterfly which is from Stampin Up (sorry, I don't have the name of it) with Juniper Ink from Close to my Heart. I used the Gable Green marker from Stampin Up to color it in, then I cut it out and used my tape runner to adhere it. I used Emma's rolled flower die to make that beautiful flower. That was adhered with Glossy Accents. I used a glue dot to adhere the embellishment from my stash. Lastly, I added curly ribbon that was sent to me from the sweet Sheila.

I think it came out cute. Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your visits :) See you again soon.

Gypsy Made Simple - A Fun Shape Card for a Friend

Hi Everyone,

WHEW I hope everyone survived that heat wave. I just about did. It is now cooling off here. I love summer but, I can't handle when it is humid. Some people love that heat but it just takes so much out of me. :)

Well, Sheila asked us to make a Shape card for a friend, Chris from Chatterscene, who has not been feeling well and I wanted to participate so I could contribute in putting a smile on her face and hope that she feels better getting cards from friends who care.

My card is from A Child's Year. I used the shadow feature and cut out the welded shape in black cardstock at 7 1/2". Then I cut the same image, not welded, in pink. I adhered that to the front. I added little twine bows and used stickles for the ice cream cone. (It wasn't dried yet when I took the picture). :)

I will stamp a friendly sentiment inside. I hope Chris is feeling better soon. I know her a little through blogging and she is such a sweet person. Thanks Sheila for having this challenge. It's so nice for us crafters to come together for friends in need.

Tent Topper Card

Hi Everyone,

I was watching Mary's video from Cardz TV and she was making a card which is called a tent topper card. I have never heard of this kind of card before. I absolutely love it and it's so easy to make. Whenever I learn something new, I always like to give the proper credit. So, Thank you Mary ;) Since I am making a few cards for some blogging friends who are under the weather, I decided to make this card for one of them.

Isn't it cute? The base of the card is 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" scored at 4 1/4". The mats for the base are 4" x 4" and 3 3/4" x 3 3/4". For the top part, the mats are 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 3" x 4". Before you adhere the top part, you measure where to put it so that it is a true A2 size card. Then you embellish as desired. I used the cute butterfly from the Create A Critter cartridge, a cute little Peachy Keen face and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's stamps called Buggie Punnies.

I tied a ribbon around the top mat before putting it down and added doodles and some rhinestones. I used dimensionals for the butterfly and the sentiment.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. Your comments are very much appreciated.

Father's Day Card

Hi Everyone, Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room taking my turn again this month. Thank you again Sheila for having me. Since Father's Day is Sunday, I figured I would make a simple card for my husband. I've really never made him a card, it's funny, I make things for so many others and he always compliments me, so I'm sure he will be surprised. His birthday is Monday also.

The card is an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded. The cardstock is from The Guy Stack from DCWV. I cut an oval out with a Creative Memories Template, then I stamped the image Happy Father's Day from the All Around Everything stamp set from My Creative Time, also the ties from All Around Everything Accessories. I colored in the ties with Stampin Up markers. I then inked the oval with Old Paper Distress Ink from Tim Holtz.

I cut a small slit on the side of the card to add twine and tied it in a knot. I'll be writing something in the inside of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by. See you again soon.

What is wrong with this picture/Sheila's Scarecrow Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Please be gentle. WHEW, I must say I am pooped out from this challenge which I ended up failing. So, I will say that I failed the challenge but at least I tried. I'm sorry Sheila :( LOL I tried and tried and tried. I have to say though that I probably could do it if I had the time. I think my mistake is I would need to do everything wider.

I used George and Basic Shapes for the Circle which I ended up making bigger after everything was already cut. The hat was from Everyday Paper Dolls, the hay is cracking me up because I had to use Spongebob for that, I do have Pooh but I couldn't get it to weld right. I had to use a tie and that is also from Spongebob, the sunflower is from Doodlecharms and the leaf is from Create a Critter.

I inked everything and hand drew the face, of course, you can tell that :) I didn't finish the leaf and I wanted to add glossy accents to the eyes but I figured I wouldn't go through all that because it's not right. I'm glad I tried it anyway and it just goes to show you that we should post our mistakes too. I was so proud because when I put everything on my Gypsy and it welded I was so happy that I finally got it, but I didn't get it. Well, Sheila I am going to link this to you anyway just to show you that I did try. LOL

Here is my scarecrow welded and cut out.

Here are all the accessories cut out.

Here is the back of the scarecrow, see I made the circle bigger.

Now, what is wrong with this picture? LOL

Cardz TV Challenge #110

Hi Everyone,

I decided to try to do other challenges when time allows so that I can get more involved in blogging. Mary at Cardz TV has challenges and this challenge is to make a Father's Day card using any cartridge using any colors.

I used the Wrap It Up cartridge for the ties and decided that I would put the letters in each tie to spell out DAD. I used the Don Juan cartridge for those. The letters cut out of the ties and I just added the middle pieces. The base of the card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" in blue cardstock from Stampin Up and the layer is 4" x 5 1/4" in a patterned cardstock from the My Guy stack from DCWV. The ties were cut at 3 1/2". I used the stamps that I have from My Creative Time, All Around Everything and All Around Accessories, (sorry Mary :( I hope that's ok, I don't have any of your stamp sets, yet :)
Then I adhered the 3 small blue gems.

Thank you for stopping by, your visits mean alot.
