Gypsy Made Simple 5 x 5 Anything Goes Card

Hi Everyone,

I was so happy that I had time to participate in Sheila from's challenge. You can create the card anyway you want as long as it has layers.

My base is black cardstock and the shapes are from George and Basic Shapes, the second layer is a patterned cardstock from The Pets Stack from DCWV, the top layer is manila cardstock. The cute dog and cat are from Cricut Sampler. The scallops are from Elegant Edges, which I popped up with dimensionals. I used black with white polka dots ribbon and inked the edges of the top layer with black ink. I used a white gel pen to do stitching. I colored in the dog and cat with markers. The sentiments are from More Punnylicious from

The inside of the card has a manila mat and I used the dog house from Cricut Sampler.

I'm happy with how my card came out. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Thanks Sheila for another great Gypsy made simple card. :) See you soon.

Plain to Pretty

Hi Everyone,
Lisa from Lisa's Craftroom here for my monthly design. Thank you Sheila for having me again.

I bought this large clothespin from Michael's quite some time ago. I have it on a shelf in my scraproom and I keep a picture in it. I have been looking at it and thinking that it needs something. It was already painted blue. My scraproom is a light blue. So when I bought the rolled flower die from Emma of My Creative Time, I got an idea.

It's a simple embellishment that makes the clothespin look much prettier, don't you think? First I tied some white tulle and then I hot glued the rolled flowers to it. I had some self adhered white chipboard letters, so I used a blue marker to color the letter L and adhered it to the clothespin. I glued some gems to each center. I think it came out so cute.
Well, I hope you like my plain to pretty project today. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting, it means alot to me. See you soon.

Throwback Thursday - Emma's Birthday Celebration

Hello Everyone,

Emma is celebrating big time today. She not only is celebrating her birthday, she is also celebrating her 17th stamp and die release. Happy Birthday Emma and Congratulations.

I wanted to join in on the challenge to make something birthday. (Cake, balloons, party hats). So I used the Elegant Edges cartridge for the base of the card and the mat. I got the balloons from Stretch Your Imagination and the party hats from Disney's Pooh and Friends.

I adhered a party hat to each balloon with dimensionals and stamped Peachy Faces on each balloon with the Everyday Character faces. I tied a bow with ribbon from Paper Trey Ink. A white gel pen was used to color in the eyes and then I added Glossy Accents on the black part of the eyes, (learned from Emma) :) I used chalk on their cheeks. I also used Emma's polka dot stamp from the Build a Banner kit, for the hats, then used stickles on them.

I think it came out adorable :) Again, Happy Birthday Emma.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Happy Birthday Emma

Hi Everyone,

Today is Emma from My Creative Time's Birthday and it is my 27th Wedding Anniversary ;) so, I can never forget Emma's Birthday. :) (May 10th).

I decided to make her a card. It's on time on my blog, but it will be late in the mail. Sorry Emma. :(

I wanted to incorporate some of her favorites things :) so, the base of the card is Kraft cardstock from Paper Trey Ink. The patterned papers are from 6 x 6 Designer Paper pads from My Minds Eye. The top one is polka dots. I purchased them on My Craft Channel, if you haven't already, subscribe to the site because they have some awesome daily deals, not to mention popular crafters that have lots of ideas and videos. Emma's products are one of their Top Picks.

I used Emma's dies, the XL Label Die, the Stitched Oval Die and the Rolled Flower Die. I stamped the XL Label Die with one of the XL Label Border stamps. The sentiment is from a stamp set that I won from Sheila from She's A Sassy Lady :) they are clear stamps from Inkadinkado. I added some twine around the XL Label Die, I cut out the Stiched Oval die twice to make a layer of the same patterned papers. I added a pearl in the center of the flower and did some stitching around the card.

Happy Birthday Emma, I hope you have a wonderful Birthday and may all your wishes come true. You deserve it as you do so much for others. Enjoy.

See you soon.
