Gypsy Made Simple Easter Window Card

Hi Everyone,

I thought that I would join in with Sheila at She's a Sassy Lady today and make this Easter Window Card. I must say, I definitely need practice using my Gypsy. I think it came out ok but not exactly the way I wanted it. My duck layer wasn't right so I ended up just coloring in the eyes and adding some rosy cheeks. As you can see the layer for the inside was too small. :) I'll have to try this again.

Sheila, thanks for taking the time out of your busy life to show us how to make cute, simple cards with our Gypsy's. Like I said, I need to practice. I have a hard time following along because sometimes the cartridges that you choose to use, I don't have. I know that as long as the basics are there it's fine, I just think until I get used to it, it might make it easier. I used a frame from Elegant Edges, and the duck from Create a Critter.

I'm glad to see you are back doing these videos and I might just try to play along more often to get some practice. Thanks again and see you soon. Have a wonderful weekend.

My Creative Times Link Up Par-Tea

Hi Everyone,

If you don't know by now, Emma over at is having a Link up Par-Tea to celebrate her 15th edition stamp release for March. Oh my goodness, these stamp sets are just adorable. I only purchased two sets, You Are Perk-fect and Coffee Break. I just had to have the Coffee Break set because it comes with the cutest Coffee cup die.

For my project, I used the Embossed Gift Card Holder. I cut it out in my Cuttlebug using Kraft cardstock. The cup was cut out in brown and the sleeve for the cup in Kraft. The Coffee Break stamp set comes with three mini background stamps, so I used the one that has different coffee phrases. I stamped it on the bottom of the gift card holder to make it the background.

I used the coffee beans from the stamp set You Are Perk-fect and stamped them on the sleeve and the top of the gift card, along with the sentiment that is from that same stamp set. I inked the edges of the sleeve with brown ink and popped it up with dimensionals, I also used dimensionals on the cup. I tied tulle around the gift card. Lastly, I used glossy accents on the coffee beans. My theme was all coffee color ;)

Thank you for stopping by, your comments mean so much. Have a wonderful weekend.

The Luck of the Irish

Hi Everyone,

Oh my goodness, it's been so long since I've posted. I have been visiting alot of you though, and I am amazed at your talent ;) Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here, and it's my turn to design today for Sheila. I really didn't have anything planned but, I did come up with this card, which I think came out cute.

The base of my card is Kraft cardstock. I used a patterned paper that I had in my stash. It was perfect because it has shamrocks/clovers on it. I used decorative scissors on the edge. I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I cut out the Leprechan and all his accessories at 3". I cut him out on the blackout feature so I could use a Peachy face on him. The wagon is also from the same cartridge, I cut that out at 4". I paper pieced the Leprechan together and added some gold stickles to jazz him up. I also added some to the wagon. I used a circle punch and punched out five circles on gold cardstock to resemble gold. I popped up three of them with dimensionals. I did stitching along the bottom edge of the card.

Now this I must say I am proud of ;) I cut out a shamrock from the same cartridge at 3 1/2" and ran it through my Xyron. I then added twine to it and sprayed it with gold shimmer mist. I also popped it up with dimensionals.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. My plan is to get more crafting done, after all, that is my "me" time :)

Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy lives to peek in and comment, and Thank you Sheila for having me again.
