My Creative Time's Design Team Call

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited because Emma from My Creative Time is having a Design Team call. I am on Sheila's Team (She's a Sassy Lady) and I love our group of talented ladies and gentlemen. I would also love to design for Emma. She is one of my favorite blogging designer friends. I think if I were chosen, I would feel the same way she felt being chosen to design for Peachy Keen ;)

Here is my entry.

I used the graveyard card on the Wrap It Up Cartridge. I cut it at 5". I used the ghost from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge, also cut at 5". I used the Build a Banner die and stamp set, also the All Around Halloween stamp set, both from My Creative Time. I colored the bottom grass with 3 shades of Copic green markers, used a Peachy face from Everyday Character - PK-490 for the ghost, did some doodling and added a twine bow.

This is the inside of the card.

A slight side view.

Thanks for stopping by. Good Luck to all the entries.

Diamond Shaped Cards

Hello My Crafty Friends,

I hope everyone is well. What gorgeous weather we are having still, it doesn't feel like October. Lisa here from Lisa's Craft Room. I am happy to be here again this month. Thank you Sheila for having me.

I decided to do these cute diamond shaped cards. You start off with a 12 x 12 patterned piece of cardstock. You could also use a solid color. You score at 2", 6" and 10", but, make sure the cardstock is facing up and down. Then you cut 4" x 12", by turning the cardstock sideways, you end up with 3 cards. I just used one so I could make three different patterns. Sorry this is going to be picture heavy. I wanted to really show how they are made. They are really cute.

Then fold it in half.

Next, fold each side up along the score line.

I turned it around because then you are going to do the same thing the opposite way.

When it is unfolded you should have an X on each side. It's better viewed on the wrong side.

You grab the two sides and fold it into the X.

Do the same on the other side. When you push the diamond down, you end up with this.

Then you use your bone folder to crease everything. This is what it looks like opened up.

I used My Creative Times scallop and stitched circle dies and All Around Halloween stamps.

I used markers to add color to the images and did a little doodling with a white gel pen.
These two cards open up sideways.

Because I forgot to turn the cardstock when I was cutting, I open it up the opposite way.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I always appreciate your visits. Thank you Sheila for having me again ;)

Throwback Thursday Challenge - 10/13/11

Hi Everyone,

It's Throwback Thursday again and this time it's using a card feature from an older cartridge making it a Halloween Theme.

My card is from A Childs Year cartridge and the spider is from Stretch Your Imagination. The cardstock for the card is from DCWV, the Midnight Spell paperstack and the purple cardstock is from Graphic 45, Halloween in Wonderland. The gray cardstock is from AC Moore. The trick or treat with candy corn is a piece of ribbon. I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies with the cute little spider stamp, all from My Creative Time. I added google eyes to the spider.

Check out Emma's blog for her Awesome card along with her Design Team's great creations. Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.
