Throwback Thursday with My Creative Time

Hi My Friends,

It's Throwback Thursday time again ;) I just love participating in these challenges when I can.

Here are the details for this challenge:

Use ANY "OLDER" cartridge of YOUR choice & PLEASE incorporate the color GREEN & YELLOW somewhere on any project of your choice!

Link your project up to Mr. Linky, then leave a comment!

Deadline for this challenge will be on Wed, June 8th!

ONE project per person please!

Here is what I came up with.

I used the Everyday Paper Doll cartridge for the boy, hair, cap, gown, shoes and diploma, all cut at 3 1/2". I used Emma's stamp set Follow Your Dreams. Don't you just love Emma's stamps? I know I do ;) I thought this would be the perfect card to make because my son is graduating from high school on June 1st. and his school colors are green and gold (of course I used yellow). This cute boy wouldn't be complete without using a Peachy Keen face, I used the Everyday Character faces. I attempted to make a tassle out of twine to match the colors, not to bad but I'll have to practice that. I adhered that on with a mini glue dot. I copied the logo from the school's site and printed it out a little larger on cardstock, then cut it out. I inked the edges of the card with green ink and did a little doodling on the cap, gown and diploma.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. See you again soon.

My First Box

Hello my blogger friends :) I am so excited to share my first box that I made. I am so thankful for being able to be here again this month with all of the other awesome designers. We are getting to be quite the team, THANKS to Miss Sheila ;)

This is the cutest project, I loved it so much that I am working on one for a baby shower that I am going to in June. This one was made for a friend's birthday. I saw that Abby from http://www.scrapbookaholicbyabby.com/  posted this on Peachy Keen stamps, as she was a guest designer and I absolutely fell in love with it. She mentioned that she followed the video from Cricut Chick (I found it on You Tube). So I decided to give it a try. It is very easy to make. I love finding different things that crafters come up with. I know we all scraplift or craftlift from time to time, right? Just make sure to give credit to where you find these amazing creations. That's how we learn different things. I am amazed at this talent out there and am grateful to learn from so many of you. I hope you will check out Cricut Chick's video and make one for someone or one for yourself. Each section, which is 4, I put my friend's favorite candy, jelly belly jelly beans, LOL (say that 5 times fast) into cellophane bags and tied them with curly ribbon. For the baby shower one, I am going to put different baby items in those sections, the ideas are endless. Cricut Chick did one for Thanksgiving and mentioned filling a section with walnuts and putting a nut cracker into another section, very cute idea. I forgot to take a picture of the bottom, it's just a square and I punched out a label and wrote To and From.

I hope you enjoyed visiting me, I sure did enjoy the company ;) Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and as always, thank you Sheila for having me ;)

Throwback Thursday using Doodlecharms

Hi Everyone,

I joined in on the Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time with Emma. She asked us to use the Doodlecharms cartridge or any older cartridge. We have to use Blue somewhere on our design. I used the Easter Basket and cut off the handle to make it look like a pot. I cut out flowers and used Emma's newest stamp set Race for a Cure. I did some doodling around the base and colored in the ribbon and the base of the pot. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday to you

Hi Everyone,

Today is my friend, Lisa's birthday. She has become an expert in baking and decorating cupcakes ;) I decided to make her this cute cupcake card. I used the Smiley Faces cartridge in my Gypsy and found this cute scallop shape. It is so great because it already comes in the form of the card, you just cut it out and score the top.

The base of the card is Orange Zest from Paper Trey Ink, the pattern paper is from my stash. I used red stickles for the cherry, orange stickles for the little dots and cinnamon stickles for the wrapper. I tied a bow with yellow twine, which is from the Twinery. I did some doodling around the card and the sentiment is two different stamps from My Pink Stamper. I used brown ink to ink around the card, and I popped up the cupcake using dimensionals.

Isn't this just so cute? Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.
