Homemade Name Plate

Hi Everyone,

I saw this awesome tutorial on Christina's site....http://www.creationswithchristina.com/  Can I just say, I LOVE IT. Thank you Christina. :) This is so easy to make. It's made with Chipboard, Cardstock, Acrylic Paint, Crackle Medium, Adhesive and Embellishments. The only hard part is figuring out how to embellish it. :) What an awesome gift this makes and just think how different you can make each one for all kinds of occasions. I gave this one to my friend at work. Her name is Lisa also. I think it turned out great being my first one.

Check out Christina's site for the tutorial and make one for a friend or for yourself. I plan on making a few.

Thanks for visiting, see you again soon.

Happy Easter To You

Hi Everyone,

I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter. I hope your day is filled with many blessings. I know for me, I will be relaxing, cooking dinner, relaxing, doing dishes, relaxing, having dessert, relaxing. You get the picture :) Monday is back to work and school, so I want to enjoy my Sunday just chilling out. I made this card for you today using this cute little digi stamp image from Sliekje's digi Stamps, thank you very much.
I printed it out on white cardstock, I attempted to color with my Copics. I'm still practicing and watching how to videos. I cut her out and used dimensionals to adhere her. The polka dot glitter paper is from DCWV, the dots, stripes and plaids matstack. The pink cardstock is from my stash. I used the flower border punch from Martha Stewart.

The circle punch is from Stampin Up and the sign punch is from EK Success. I inked the edges of each one, one with purple, one with pink. The sentiments are from My Creative Time and the twine is from the Twinery. I also used little gems from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #50 with a Twist

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your day/night. I can't believe that Easter is Sunday already.
Peachy Keen is celebrating their 50th Challenge so I decided to join in. Here is the sketch, I think this one is really cute.

They would like you to create a card based on the sketch provided and add METALLIC accents somewhere in your project, using paper, glitter, paint, etc. The card must include basic elements and the TWIST from the sketch provided.

Here is my card.....I used metallic gold cardstock and gold ribbon. I used the egg stamp from Peachy Keen, Duck Dolls PK-266. I stamped it on white cardstock and used Tim Holtz distress vintage photo ink then filled it in with a E00 copic marker, I colored the egg with a Y11 copic marker and traced the cracks with a gold marker. I adhered it to the bigger circle which is DCWV the dots, stripes & plaids mat stack which matches the strip across. I spritzed the white flower with gold glimmer mist and added a gold bead. I used the sentiment from My Creative Time's stamp set, Color Me Happy and punched it out with a punch from Stampin Up, I inked the edges and adhered it with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your visits :)

Just in time for Easter

Hi Everyone,

It's Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room coming to you today with my monthly design. Thanks again to our Hostess, Sheila for having me. Since Easter is almost here, I decided to make this cute project. I've been wanting to do something with this flower pot for a long time.

I painted the pot green and the bottom purple, I didn't worry about the inside of the pot because it will be covered when a plant is in it or some Easter grass and goodies.

I found these cute chicks at a book store, I adhered them on with my hot glue gun.

The flowers are from the Serenade cartridge and all the other cuts, the bunny, eggs and basket are from the Doodlecharms cartridge. They were adhered using pop dots.

Just a little something cutesy for a decoration. Thank you Sheila for having me again. Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Episode 179

Hi Guys,

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

It's that time again for the Throwback Challenge with Emma and guess what? It's Cricut-Less with a Sketch. You can use punches but NO CRICUT, create a card using the sketch provided.

I decided to use my new stamp set from My Creative Time called Fun Borders. LOVE IT. I used the Thank you border, stamped it with my Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad, sprinkled red embossing powder on it and used my heat gun. The end of the stamp has Thanks going vertical but I ended up having to trim it off because it extended the base of my card which I had already folded. I used a Stampin Up border punch for the pattern paper and adhered the border on top.

I also used the Duck Dolls stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps - PK-266. I stamped the image colored it with glitter markers, then punched it out with a circle punch from Stampin Up. I then inked around it. I punched another circle out with pattern paper and set it a little apart and then used dimensionals to pop it up. I used a corner rounder punch to punch the corners of the background mat. The sentiment, THANKS is from the border, I just inked that section, stamped it, filled it in a little with black marker, punched it out with another Stampin Up punch and inked the edges. I finished it up with some doodling.

Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.
