Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #46

Hi Everyone,

I was so so happy to be able to do this challenge, I am trying to keep up with a few challenges that I love to participate in but not get overwhelmed. This is the sketch to follow.

Well, here is what I came up with, this was my first time using the A Child's Year cartridge, I think it is so darling and I plan on using it more often now. It has the most adorable images.

I used the Forest Branches cuttlebug and inked around the image using a Fantastix, the color I used is chocolate chip ink from Stampin Up, the sentiment is also from Stampin Up. I used Cappuccino twine from the Twinery and popped up the image with pop dots. I think it came out cute. Thank you for stopping by :)

Thursday's Throwback Challenge with Emma

Hi Everyone,

Happy President's Day. I have today off from work and I got most of my housework and laundry done yesterday so that I could get my card up today for My Creative Time with Emma's Thursday throwback challenge.
She asked us to use the cartridge Walk in my garden, or any older cartridge as long as our project had flowers on it. I used Walk in my garden. I chose the sign and the flowers to make my card. I also used the sentiment from Emma's stamps called Color Me Happy. The base of the card is using Kraft from Paper Trey Ink, the patterned paper is the Ooh La La paper pack from My Mind's Eye. I did some doodling and used the green dots cut out for the centers on the big flowers and frosted lace stickles for the centers of the little flowers.

March Calendar

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday, this is Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room for my turn to design. Thank you for dropping by. Thank you Sheila for having me again.
I've had Designer's Calendar for so long and have not used it yet, I was wracking my brain on what to make and decided that I would make a calendar.
I went by my house calendar to mark special dates, isn't it funny how all calendars have different things with the exception of the major holidays?

Here is the frame.

On March 4th there is a new moon, I also added a handmade crocheted flower that I got from a sweet blogger's grandmother, isn't it so cute, (she did a wonderful job on them), I also added a button with twine.

the 9th is Ash Wednesday

the 12th, the Girls Scouts were founded in 1912 so I cut out a circle and put brown dots to resemble a chocolate chip cookie

the 13th, we change the clocks, spring ahead, YAY

the 17th is St. Patrick's Day

the 19th is a full moon so I added a clear stone

I cut out the phrase in dark green and white, then glimmer misted it lime green and just added a little ribbon

the green flower started off as a cream colored die cut, I first sprayed it with water to make it pliable, then patted it with a paper towel so it was just damp, used a stylus to roll it up into the flower, glued the bottom and sprayed it with glimmer mist, then glued a pearl in the middle, isn't it pretty? When it dries, it's stiff and almost resembles the feel of wood. I also added little gems, self adhesive heart stickers and a button to the calendar.

Thank you all so much for commenting. I hope you continue to follow me. I also am learning a lot of different things from other crafters. Even though I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years now, it is still nice to see what others do and learn from them. There is so much out there and it seems like there is something new everyday. Blog Candy for my Followers

Hi Everyone, Happy Valentine's Day. Well, I am way over due to offer this yummy blog candy. Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far.

I know Valentine's Day is Monday, but I just got my Crush Collection paper from Bo Bunny. I have been waiting for it so that I could make these cute pinwheel cards. Aren't they adorable. I love them and they are so easy to make.

Here is what you need to cut:

1 -  3" x 3" solid cardstock
2 - 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" solid cardstock
8 - 1 1/4" pattern papers (4 of one pattern) (4 of another pattern)

The trick is to line up the two points on a grid so that when you start adding your squares, the pinwheel will come out right.

You can use anything of your choice to adhere the other square on top. I used my tape runner.

 You put a little adhesive on each corner of the 1 1/4" squares and start placing them on the base starting from the left.

On the last square, you tuck it under the first square that you laid down,

and VIOLA, isn't it cute?

Then you can add whatever you want to the middle, as you can see on the first pinwheel I added a self-adhesive glitter heart and on the second one I added a button with twine. You then take the completed pinwheel and attach it to the 3" x 3" square.

My cards are 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  I used punches from Stampin Up and the sentiment from Peachy Keen. I noticed after my cards were all done that the squares weren't all in the same direction,

:( I wish I would have noticed it sooner, I would have fixed them but you know what, that's ok., or is it?

Happy Spring

Hi Everyone,

It's Thursday and you know what that means...Throwback with Emma. So, we had to use either Just Because or Wild Card. I decided to use Just Because. I really have to start using all my cartridges more, there is so much on each one.

I cut out the base, the mat and the bee from Just Because. I used Lemondrop twine, a self adhesive yellow flower with a black center, also self adhesive. I used googly eyes and stickles for the bee. I did some doodling with a black precision pen. The sentiment is from My Creative Time with Emma's stamp set called Color Me Happy. Thanks for stopping by ;) Smooches
