An Etiquette Question

Hi Everyone :)

I just wanted to know if anyone follows everyone that follows you. I wonder if it is the right thing to do, but I noticed some of you have thousands of followers so I can't imagine that you follow everyone that follows you. Just wondering :) I am so honored and touched to have followers and I want to thank you all for following my blog.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend. I am going to attempt to post some things, we'll see how it goes.

Hello Card

Hi Everyone, Happy Hump Day. A co-worker retired, lucky her. I had made her a card before she left, but I wanted to send her another card to say hello and to let her know that I was thinking of her. I stamped this cute image, which is a bird with images around it, it's from Stampin Up, it almost looks like a postage stamp. I used Versamark, then used gold embossing powder and my handy, dandy heat gun. I also did the same thing with a flower stamp and used some stickles on each of the flower centers and the petals. I used a butterfly border punch, from Martha Stewart and the punches that punch out, I used to embellish the card so that it looks like each butterfly is flying above each flower. I also used a white gel pen to resemble the flight of the butterfly. The brown paper is from Stampin Up and the flower paper is from DCWV. I used a white ribbon on the border.

Enjoy and Thanks for looking.
Happy Scrapping :)

Using Vinyl

Hi Everyone,

I decided to put a phrase above my closet doors with white vinyl. I love this saying. I remember as a child, my mother would always tell us never go to bed mad. That always stuck with me. The wall above my closets is just a 3" empty space below the ceiling, so this was perfect. I added little pink hearts in between. I used the Gypsy Font for this. (Added to say) O.K., my husband just informed me that I should change the pink hearts to red and add some lips, so that is what I will do as soon as I get some red vinyl. The pink really doesn't show up that well anyway and I think the lips will add a great touch. Thanks for looking.

Hi Everyone

Happy Saturday my friends. First off I would like to take the time to say CONGRATULATIONS again to Emma of My Creative Time on her first DVD. That is so awesome. Hopefully, you all know who she is, if not take a peek at her blog. She definitely deserves it. http://www.creativetimeforme.com/

This is a sympathy card I made for a co-worker who just lost her mother. I used a border punch at the bottom of the border paper, I stamped a flower several times in brown, orange and yellow, dark and light along the right side of the card, tied a ribbon and stamped the sentiment which is from My Pink Stamper stamps, Everyday Occasions. I used the two way glue pen on the center of the flowers and added Dazzling Diamonds, from Stampin Up.

Thank you for looking :)

Happy Scrapping

Happy Saturday

Hi Everyone. WHEW is it a hot one today here in New Bedford. Right now I have my oven on. UGH. I am making Barbecue Chicken Wings to bring to my friend's daughter's Graduation Party at 7:00. Since the Wild Card cartridge has a cap and diploma on it, I decided to make her a card and matching envelope. I am putting some money in the card for her. I thought this was perfect for her. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful "Cool" weekend.

My Pink Card for Monique

Hi Everyone,

Robyn of My Pink Stamper asked if we would like to make a "Pink" card for Monique Griffith who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Here is my card for her. I used the Create a Critter cartridge, copied the house, flipped it and added a rectangle to make it stronger at the crease, and welded it. I used the hedgehog. I also used the ribbon stamp and the Thinking of you stamp from Everyday Occasions by My Pink Stamper, added ribbon, a flower brad and a glittered silk flower with a brad. I used a marker to make little polka dots along the house and on the hedgehog's toes. The whole card is "Pink" :)

The Seasons

Hi Everyone, Wow time flies when your having fun. LOL It seems like I just made my debut. Thank you Sheila for having me. I hope you are having a wonderful vacation. Thank you all for joining me today. I decided to do another 12 x 12 scrapbook page. I hope you enjoy my project.

I used my Gypsy and made frames with the words welded on top, the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall were done using Don Juan.
The snowflakes, popscicle, watermelon, apple, and leaf with acorn is from Doodlecharms. The flowers are from A Walk in my Garden.

Measurements - All the frames are 4" x 4", Winter - 3.4" x 1.4", Spring - 2.81" x 1", Summer - 3.87" x 1.6", Fall - 1.82" x 1.04", popscicle - .74" x 1", watermelon - 1.26" x 1", apple - .95" x 1", leaf and acorn - 1.19" x 1". The Gypsy makes life so much easier, I love the welding and especially the hide contour feature. I LOVE MY GYPSY :)

Here are the papers I used for each of the frames. After I was done cutting them out, that's when the hide contour feature came in handy. I hid the frames and all the images to get just the words cut out, so that I could use different papers to bring out the words, Winter was done in white, Spring was done in a striped patterned paper, Summer was inked with green and blue, and Fall was going to be done in tan paper until I found a cute leaf pattern paper that I thought was perfect.

See how the image was welded onto the frame? I then cut out the images in the colors that I wanted and glued them onto the existing image, and also how Summer was inked.

These were some scraps that I used to cut out all of the images.

Then I used some stickles to jazz up the die cuts, I used the white gel pen on the snowflakes along with some dazzling diamonds and of course my handy dandy two way glue stick for the small pieces and some stick on rain drops for the bottom of the page. I then added a punched border to separate the page, some ribbon and a journaling oval that I distressed, which says: Winter brought alot of snow this year, But, Spring brought new life. Then came a
hot summer, but a nice dip in the pool cooled you off. In the fall, you got to carve your own pumpkin.

No, unfortunately that is not our pool, it's our Uncle's. Sometimes, I wish we had one.

Thank you so much for taking a peak at my design today. Thanks again to Sheila and Thank you Pam for answering my questions, you were a big help :)

Hi Everyone

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. Just to let you know that I am working on my July design for She's a Sassy Lady. It is so darn hot, humid, and muggy. This weather really drains me. I don't really care for days like this :( YUCK. I don't mind if it's hot, as long as it is dry. I've been wanting to do some things in the house but I don't have the energy. WOW!!!

We are looking into ductless air conditioning seeing that we have radiators, Central Air might be a little  to expensive. Thank Goodness we have an air conditioner in our bedroom and our son's bedroom. Ceiling fans seem to just push the heat around but I guess it's better than nothing. :) Well, just wanted to say hello and rant a little bit about how hot it is, I know I shouldn't complain! There are worse things right?

Thanks again to all my follower friends, it means alot to me. Have a Great Day...Stay Cool :)

Love Birds

Hi My Friends,

I have been waiting for the Serenade cartridge forever it seems. Well, I finally got it, so I decided to make a card using the bird cage which is 4" x 6" and welded. I used a little rectangle from George and Basic Shapes to put between the weld (I learned that from Emma of My Creative Time), to give it more stability since it was very dainty. I used the Hide Contour feature on the back part of the cage to hide all but two of the bars so that I could put two birds inside which are 2" and welded, so that they look like they are kissing. After all, they are Love Birds. :) I used feathers for their tails and googly eyes. I used the tag punch from Stampin Up to punch a little tag and I hand wrote Love Birds. I also used a border punch, also from Stampin Up. I did some dots and dashes along the bird cage and some dots on the tag. Lastly, I used a pearl which I bought a whole bag of at Walmart, courtesy of Christina from Creations with Christina. I always like to give shout outs to anyone who as "enabled" me with different ideas or products. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy.

What's Up?

I started this card on my Gypsy. I used the Create a Critter cartridge. I copied the cheese and welded them together to make the card. I used the Hide Contour feature (love that) on one of the sides of the cheese that would be the inside of the card and hid all the circle cutouts. The card is 5 1/2" x 10 1/2". The mouse is 3". Then I just tied some Sassy Strands (I know you like that name Sheila ;) from Close To My Heart, it's the Autumn Harvest collection. I used the Punny-licious stamp set from My Pink Stamper.

Thanks for looking.
Have a great day.

My Girl's New Clothes

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to have a little fashion show for my Gypsy girl. She has a new outfit. I saw this one on Cricut.com and loved it. I waited quite a while before I was able to get it. I love red so it was perfect. I also love the black and the butterflies. So, how does she look? It doesn't make her look fat does it? LOL

Thanks for looking, have a great day. Come back tomorrow for a project. :)
